SUPPORTING WMATA FOR OVER 10 YEARS
We have performed on numerous significant programs in support of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) beginning in 2008. Our recent task orders have included spanning electrical engineering, trackside signal, ETS-SCADA, power system design and installation, SS ATC power room replacement, wayside equipment replacement, and security system upgrades throughout the Metrorail system.
As a certified WMATA DBE contractor, we cooperated with Clark Construction and Mass Electric, performing Power, Telecom, and ATC tasks on the Red, Orange, Blue, and Green Lines. On the Blue, Red and Orange lines, ICS partnered with Ansaldo-STS, replacing critical automatic train control equipment and cabling, and as such, is familiar with WMATA’s trackside rules and procedures.
Additionally, between 2008 and 2016, ICS worked as DBE partner with JOC companies such as Haris Design & Construction, FH Paschen, and Dynamic Electric on various WMATA JOC contracts. The work involved installation of new fiber cables between Vienna and the Pentagon, mini loops on the Blue Line, ATC cabling, station lighting, SCADA, entrance cameras, PA speakers, and power cable replacement.
