Fairfax, VA – October 1, 2016. ICS ICS Nett, Inc. (ICS) is a Champion of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2016. ICS became a Champion to promote secure and safe online practices and to join other small to large-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations, government organizations, universities, and individuals globally who already support the campaign.
NCSAM, celebrated every October, was created in 2003 by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance. The campaign arose in light of an increased need for cyber security awareness. The campaign is organized by themed weeks to highlight all aspects of cyber security:
- Week 1: STOP. THINK. CONNECT
- Week 2: From Break Room to Boardroom: Creating a Culture of Cybersecurity in the Workplace
- Week 3: Recognizing and Combating Cybercrime
- Week 4: Our Continuously Connect Lives: What’s Your “Aptitude”?
- Week 5: Building Resilience in Critical Systems
ICS’ dedication to NCSAM comes from its history of providing the best cyber security solutions to its clients in Federal and civilian markets. In support of NCSAM, ICS will spend the month focused on educating employees on cyber security measures and educating the public through a series of blogs and social media posts.
“As an IT services company, we rely heavily on having excellent cyber security protocols in place and employees who are trained in these practices. Becoming a NCSAM Champion demonstrates this dedication to the public and allows us to share our expertise for a greater good,” said Mike Poel, ICS’ Chief Operations Officer.
