ICS Awarded Mobile Device Deployment and Migration Services Contract to Support the Federal Trade Commission

Vienna, VA – October 24, 2014. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has recently awarded ICS Nett, Inc. (ICS) a contract to support its Mobile Device Deployment and Migration (MDDM) services across the entire agency including its eight (8) regional offices.

The primary function of the MDDM is to deploy modernized technology and high-quality wireless services. In securing this modernization FTC seeks to facilitate a secure, integrated solution to replace it’s legacy BlackBerry infrastructure and transition to a smartphone platform. Additionally, ICS will be working with Fiberlink’s (an IBM company) MaaS360 as the FTC’s Mobile Device Management solution and collaboratively with T-Mobile as the FTC’s mobile carrier. ICS will transition FTC to a mixed population of Android and iOS devices along a very aggressive schedule to meet the OCIO’s expectations. “Our mobility migration is a small step, but a giant leap for FTC”, says FTC’s CIO, Bajinder Paul.

ICS’s unique, proven mobile migration and support services, previously implemented at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will be the solution underpinning to ensure a highly reliable, smooth and seamless End-User experience. By selecting ICS’s migration services, FTC seeks to hedge against downtime and deliver superior training and coordination for FTC’s attorneys and employees. “Our mobile migration experience is being followed by the industry. Taking this a step further, we are challenging ourselves with innovative solutions to automate mobile device provisioning, implement asset management tracking, and improve our security processes which ultimately result in better End-User experiences. That’s our goal and we will deliver!” says ICS Executive Vice President, Khaled Amro.

“ICS is delighted with the opportunity to provide mobile migration services for the Federal Trade Commission and is energized about utilizing state-of-the-art mobile technology for the MDDM. We are equally excited about our new relationship with the FTC and about realizing a new milestone of adding another federal agency to our long list of clients we have had the honor to serve. This is a great opportunity for ICS to expand our relationship with the FTC, help support their modernization goals and in the process become their trusted partner”, says CEO, Khurram Shah.
