Washington, D.C. – May 12, 2016. ICS Nett, Inc. (ICS) begins a five-year contract as a significant winner in supplying IT resources to WMATA (Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority), operating in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. ICS currently supplies Metro with services and staff in IT, engineering, and call center to meet the needs of the Metro riders of rail and bus. Through winning six of the eight major IT categories in this recent win – PMO, PeopleSoft development, datacenter and infrastructure, web development services, enterprise architecture, and cyber security, ICS has significantly expanded the services offered to WMATA.
ICS has been a prime contractor to Metro since 2008 when WMATA hired ICS as a specialist in IT labor supply. Metro has continued to rely on the support from the Fairfax, Virginia-based company for almost a decade. In July 2014, ICS was awarded the SmarTrip® Regional Customer Service Center, another five year contract providing services to WMATA rail and bus patrons.
John S. Alexander, CEO, noted: “It is a privilege to further assist WMATA with building a solid IT infrastructure as WMATA enters into a period of focus on safety and security. The Metro knows that we stand beside them as they move forward with their “SafeTrack Plan” over this next year.” Khurram Shah, Board Chair said, “ICS exemplifies the philosophy of ‘Best Value’ with our cost effective and qualified teams at Metro where our commitment to the client is Number One.”
